I only see an error message stating that the file format is not supported. On the other, it starts up and looks great until I attempt to open an mp3, wav, or wma file. Sound Forge 11 only runs on one computer. Now there's another problem: the Sony MP3 Plug-in 2.0 which is installed with version 8 needs to be registered and doesn't seem to have a time-out like the app does. Version 8 works perfectly on both computers. I couldn't register 8 online, but fortunately after several prompts to do so, there was a "don't ask me again" option which solved that problem. I had Sound Forge 8 working on my Windows 7 64-bit system until my 2 computers crashed within 2 weeks of each other and I had to reinstall all my software from scratch. Now it's marketed by Magix which has a horrible rating for their (lack of) technical support. Overall Opinion: This was great software when it was marketed by Sonic Foundry and after Sony acquired Sonic Foundry several years ago. ![]()
